- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract together until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually stir in the oats.
- Mix in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto your prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
