Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips for extra texture

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  • In a separate bowl, cream the butter and both sugars using an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Mix in the milk and vanilla extract. Slowly add the flour and stir to combine. Fold in the mini chocolate chips and chocolate chips.
  • Once the brownies are cool, spread the cookie dough mixture evenly on top of the brownie layer. Smooth the surface with a spatula.
  • Place the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set the cookie dough layer. Cut into squares and serve.
